What is Counselling?

Counselling is a confidential and professional service to individuals, couples or families seeking assistance with personal, life or work issues. Counselling assists in allowing a person to become more self-aware in their life. In therapy people are able to gain a greater understanding of themselves and their behaviours, hence leading them to be more emotionally healthy and able to move forward in life, in a direction which suits them.

Counselling is for any individual who wishes to improve his/her life. A qualified psychologist guides you in resolving issues and helps you to develop emotionally, leading to a happier and more content future.

Why would my Employer pay for me to have Counselling?

Employers are realising the value of assisting employees in their overall health and wellbeing. It's good for them and it's good for you.

Counselling is provided at no cost to you by your employer. All of us have had difficult times either in the workplace, at home or in relationships. Your employer recognises this and has provided you with an EAP to provide support in times of emotional difficulties.

Your employer believes that having happier employees who have access to support, will result in a happier and more harmonious workplace.
