Therapy provides a safe space for us to air all of our concerns and anxieties of life as well as help us make sense of them, free of judgement. It has the power to completely change a person’s life for the better and allows them to reach their full potential.
Many of us have thought about seeking therapy at some stage in our lives, but far too many of us have been deterred by the simple aspect of cost.
With COVID-19 running rampant across Australia and the world, a focus on improving the accessibility to mental healthcare has never been more important. Also, the Federal government has made supporting innovation and funding in the mental health space one of its main priorities.
However, with more Australians unemployed than ever, too many people are tightening their purse strings and veering away from spending their precious money on their mental health – no matter how needed it may be.
Life Resolutions Achieving Better Care Initiative
At Life Resolutions, we feel we have a responsibility to ensure that no one is forced to go without the therapy they need as a result of financial insecurity. Therefore, we have committed ourselves to making a range of changes to the operation of our clinic in order to improve the accessibility of mental health care to those who need it.
Introducing our Achieving Better Care initiative, which involves:
• Providing multiple therapy formats, including face-to-face, Telehealth and live online chat
• Reducing, and where possible removing, wait times for appointments
• Focusing on the ongoing training and development of our team to ensure the latest approaches and highest quality of service
• Expanding our services to include support for NDIS participants, their families and carers
• Doing our best to find innovative ways of making therapy more accessible to new clients who do not have mental health treatment plans and are therefore ineligible for bulk billing.
Life Resolutions Back to Me Package
At Life Resolutions, we also understand that not all Australians are able to access the government subsidised mental health services. So, we have also introduced our new Back to Me package, where clients are able to try out therapy with one of our experienced team at a lower price. Rather than the traditional consultation model, where the client attends a single session of up to an hour, we’re offering what we’re calling Back to Me, where the client is able to attend three sessions of 30-minutes each with the same therapist.
Our hope is that through the Back to Me model, new clients will have the opportunity to become more self-aware and more effectively armed with coping strategies than they would be after a single session. In addition, the program will allow them to access quality services through private practice right away and in an affordable manner, bypassing the extensive waiting period that they might experience waiting for bulk-billing or Government-assisted opportunities.
The 3-session Back to Me package is available now to new clients for only $90 (claimable via private health insurance). As always, the sessions are accessible both in person and through telehealth.
