Mary Magalotti Supporting Families

Posted on

Having a healthy and happy family takes work, it is important to understand that no parent has all the skills or answers all the time. However, there are strategies you can learn to help build a strong and happy family. Our Director, Jodie Brenton wants family counselling and associated strategies to be accessible to all Australian families.

Our head psychologist, Mary Magalotti and the Life Resolutions psychologists want to support and provide you with the knowledge to build a happy family. Jodie Brenton and Mary Magalotti encourage you to seek help if you are experiencing trouble building a happy family dynamic.

Time is Important

Life is busy, making it more important to take the time to be with your family. Being intentional in the time you are taking to build your happy family is also important. The intention is important to help guide actions and the relationships within your family.

Little Things

Focusing on the little things can help your family see how important you are to one another. You can help shift the focus onto the little things by sharing 3 things you are grateful for every day with your family.

Doing Chores Together

Working and talking together while cleaning the house or washing the car creates a sense of achievement and connection. This can help each family member feel a part of the team. It also helps children and family members feel valued for making a valuable contribution to the family environment.
