Kathleen McLaren


Kathleen has a Bachelors, Honours and Masters degree in Psychology, and is currently completing her PhD in Medicine. She has worked with a number of diverse client groups, including people affected by dementia, those at imminent risk of suicide, and struggling university students. Kathleen has a warm, understanding, empathetic approach and believes that being heard and acknowledged is key to the therapeutic process. She believes that the client is the expert in their own life and works with them in a collaborative way to help them achieve their goals. Kathleen is experienced in a range of different therapies, and tailors her approach to suit the client’s needs. She is experienced in a range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar, childhood sexual abuse, eating disorders, grief and loss, OCD, and PTSD. Kathleen is a published author in Psychology, and has presented at Psychology conferences both in Australia and overseas. She has a special interest in helping couples experiencing relationship difficulties.

Michael has over 20 years experience in psychology. He has worked with people of all ages and from all walks of life across Australia. His extensive knowledge and experience have taught him that in therapy, it’s all about the conversation. Michael uses a relaxed, conversational style to engage with people in a meaningful, genuine way. Over the years Michael has helped children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in their healing, from all kinds of emotional pain. His strength lies in building strong relationships with his clients, and through the conversation, build resilience, understanding and a path to happiness.
