Grief & Loss

Grief can be an overwhelming emotion associated with the loss of something or someone you held close to your heart. Grief is associated with the expression of many other emotions including anger, disbelief, numbness, guilt, remorse and/or sadness.

Many people find grief difficult to process and benefit from being able to talk with a professional. Most will eventually accept their loss, but for some grief can take over and consume their lives, leading to increased depression and decreased activities. If you feel like you, or someone you know, is trapped in a cycle of grief, it may be time to seek professional help.

  • Feeling as if life has no purpose or meaning
  • Agitation and irritability
  • Lack of trust in people around you
  • Persistent and intense longing for the deceased
  • Inability to enjoy life again
