After graduating from a commerce and an engineering degree, Cheong spent 9 years searching for the meaning of life at a Buddhist university in India where he studied Buddhist philosophy, examined Christianity, Islamism, Judaism, provided religious counselling, and was a health worker there. His search led him back to Perth where he pursued psychology and philosophy. Cheong is a warm and caring person who has a deep understanding of human nature. He strives to provide a safe, therapeutic and honest space for clients to freely explore their deepest thoughts, emotions, believes, attitudes, and orientations without judgement.

Kristy is a client-focused psychologist who is passionate about building a safe therapeutic relationship where individuals can explore and improve important areas of their lives. Kristy is flexible in using treatment modalities, drawing upon a variety of evidence based therapeutic approaches including Narrative Therapy, Existential Counselling, Logotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy among others.

Kristy is dedicated to providing treatment in a genuine, non-judgemental and respectful manner by working alongside each individual to increase their well-being & quality of life and together working towards overcoming their challenges.
